Podolian Agency for Regional Development staff member and US Peace Corps Volunteer, Michael Dixon, will present a PowerPoint slide show at the Window on America Library “English Club” on Thursday, July 25, at 17:00. Michael, a frequent participant and presenter at the Club (second floor, 72 Soborna Street in Vinnytsia) will discuss his recent month long journey in the United States, a presentation titled “Going to America.”
Discussions will engage the question of the value of travel and the benefits of tourism to local communities. All are invited to share attitudes and ideas about travel or to sit back and enjoy Michael’s inspiring photographs and comments as you travel from Wisconsin through Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee and Georgia on to Florida, as well as learn about some wonders of the city of Chicago. Michael will also discuss features of his hometown of St. Charles, Illinois, and how visitors are invited to participate in local festivals and cultural events.
